Al-Quds Center for Political Studies published recently a report entitled " Deputies & 2009 Budget… A reading in the Trends and the Priorities", the report analyzed the MPs attitudes towards the “2009 Budget Draft Law” and offering decisive outcomes for the public and the media as well.
The report, which came in 20 pages, is the second one in the series of oversight reports that the AL Quds Center published recently within the contest of the “Jordanian Parliament Monitor”, The report has adopted two main sources of information and data, namely, the personal interviews with the deputies themselves, and their papers and speeches made during the debate on the budget, which were analyzed according to international standards and criteria that are followed in this field.
It is noteworthy to mention that The "Jordanian Parliament Monitor", which launched by Al-Quds Center for Political Studies in October of 2008, in cooperation with the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), is independent and non-partisan project, aimed at strengthening the partnership between the parliament and the various NGOs, as well as, developing the parliament practice according to the legislative and oversight roles by introducing the best international practices and expertise.
